Man Allegedly Possesses Gun Illegally During Police Response

JAMESTOWN – A man was allegedly in the illegal possession of a weapon when officers responded to a call for a fight Sunday evening in the area of Allen and Institute Streets, according to the Jamestown Police Department. 
Donald J. Apperson, 35, no address given, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Apperson was additionally charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration when he allegedly ignored officers commands.
Apperson is currently in Chautauqua County Jail.
