Morning News Now To Go HD

JAMESTOWN-Morning News Now will transition to live HD cameras Monday morning at the Willow Bay Commerce Center on E.3rd St. per tech wizard Justin Gould, the man with many talents.

The show will take a hiatus (including Thursday) for the week’s remainder after WNYNewsNow upgraded the live camera system Wednesday evening.

Gould, who co-hosts with Ryan Hedrick, had this to say regarding the visual upgrade:

“This is a very exciting upgrade for Morning News Now! The Microsoft LifeCam Studio cameras will provide excellent video quality enhancing our broadcast. I’ve been trying to get an upgrade for quite some time. Without the community support, or support from our advertisers, this would not have been possible.”

“The LifeCam Studio Camera may be smaller than our previous camcorders, but looks can be deceiving. These cameras will record at 1080p, and we are expected to stream in 720p. Viewers could see lower qualities with Facebook Live depending on their connection to the video servers. The picture will be 110% better than before.”
Gould said remote broadcasts will still be in standard definition due to network bandwidth restraints, but he hopes to implement live HD video in the future.

“The next studio upgrade we are expecting is in the audio department. Please stay tuned.”
