ALBANY – Polls are open across New York State Thursday as a number of high profile primary races head to a vote.
One of the biggest races is the Democratic Primary for Governor and incumbent Governor Andrew Cuomo will face former Sex in the City star Cynthia Nixon.
Democrats will also be casting their primary ballots for Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General.
Locally, the Towns of Ripley and Portland will be voting to elect a Town Justice. Busti Republicans in Election District 3, meanwhile, will choose two county committee members.
The biggest local race is the Sheriff’s race between incumbent Joe Gerace and challenger Jim Quattrone, who are vying for the conservative ticket.
