Teresi Says Crews Will Undertake Multiple Infrastructure Projects

JAMESTOWN – Mayor Sam Teresi said that, due to old infrastructure, many water main breaks and deteriorating roads, crews will undertake a massive road reconstruction on N. Main St. from 3rd Street to the bridge near Brooklyn Square.
Teresi also said that the bridge, which Chautauqua County is responsible for, will undergo a big change of its own.
“In the next couple months, we’ll close that bridge completely to traffic and post alternate routes in place throughout the city,” Teresi said. “It’s basically going to be a brand new bridge, and the target is to have that open before the end of the next construction season.”
Teresi’s comments came during the Works Session Monday evening at City Hall. According to the City of Jamestown’s official website, the bridge project is worth a total of $1.5 million.
