Vehicle Strikes Tractor-Trailer In Highway Accident; Driver Allegedly Under The Influence Of Drugs

ELLERY – State Police say a car, with the 20-year-old driver allegedly under the influence of drugs, struck a tractor trailer as both vehicles traveled westbound on I-86 Westbound Wednesday.
Jonathan Telschow, the car driver, was taken to UPMC for a blood draw. State Police Captain Eric Balon told WNYNewsNow that Telschow will be charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, moving from lane unsafely, bald tires, speed not reasonable for conditions, and unlawful possession of marijuana.
The tractor trailer driver, Warren Laurendeau, 68, Vermont, wasn’t injured per Balon. Telschow wasn’t injured either.
