WNY Nursing Home Ensnared In Contractual Dispute With Cable Giant

BINGHAMTON NY – Hundreds of bedridden seniors living in homes in New York are without cable TV and internet service.
A Spectrum Spokesperson blames the loss of service on a delay in signing a new sales contract with Good Shepard.
But Good Shepard said Spectrum is forcing them to upgrade to digital boxes and sign a new contract, even though the current one is still intact.
“Many of the residents are frail, some of them may be bedridden and their to means everything to them,” Mike Keenan, President & CEO, Good Shepherd Communities.
Keenan said Spectrum should be required to honor the original agreement made with Time Warner Cable.
The Time Warner Cable brand was phased out in favor of Spectrum in May of 2016.
