CARTS To Continue Operating From Jamestown’s Pine Street

JAMESTOWN – The Chautauqua Area Regional Transit System (CARTS) will continue to utilize Pine Street as its central hub for Chautauqua County’s southern region until the end of September, according to Chautauqua County Executive George Borrello.
Borrello told WNYNewsNow Friday afternoon that the county needed more time to work on an alternate location, but didn’t specify the location.
“We are temporarily continuing at Pine Street until the end of September,” Borrello said. “We are working on an alternate location that will include shelter and a bathroom. But we need more time to make that happen.
City Councilman At-Large Andrew R. Liuzzo made the following post in the City of Jamestown Group’s Facebook page:

CARTS was originally only scheduled to use Pine Street until the end of August as the various downtown projects, like the National Comedy Center, were being completed.
