WESTFIELD-Two Westfield residents were arrested Tuesday after a lengthy narcotics investigation in and around the apartment structure at 63 S. Portage St. according to the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force.
John J. Buczek III, 48, and Julie A. Warren, 47, both of the aforementioned address, allegedly produced methamphetamine at the location. Citizens reportedly complained of a strong chemical odor and other activity related to methamphetamine production throughout March 2017 .
Authorities reportedly discovered discarded items from the scene, connecting them with the pair. The duo allegedly operated another meth lab before their arrest, using scales and other forms of production.
Both face two counts of 3rd degree Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine. They are currently in County Jail on $50,000 cash/$100,000 property bond.
More charges are reportedly expected.
New York State Police assisted in re-mediating the toxic materials for further investigation.
