SALAMANCA – A local Facebook fundraiser to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is going viral.
Seven-year-old Addy Earley has watched her cousin Andy grow up with Cystic Fibrosis her whole life. This holiday season, she wanted to do something to help.
On Nov. 17 with some assistance from her parents, Addy posted the first of what would become many videos on the “Angels for Andy” fundraiser page.
Addy braved the cold in summertime clothes making a snow angel and nominating her parents. Her father and mother soon followed suite nominating many in the community.
After that, dozens of videos and even more donations filled the page in the last month, all raising money for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
As of Wednesday, Addy has raised over $3,000 to further research and find a cure.
The young, the young in spirit, a local basketball team and even a snowless angel filled the page.
Andy and Addy’s family posted their thanks online. Bringing a community together one snow angel at a time.
