Area Stores Open For Small Business Saturday

JAMESTOWN – Small Business Saturday has become a lifeline for local shops: Last year, 112 million consumers spent $15.4 million at mom and pop stores nationwide, city leaders in Jamestown hope for the same.

Last week Jamestown Mayor Sam Teresi called for community support for the day.

“The Mayor of Jamestown loves all business, big and small alike,” said Teresi.  “But, there is a special place in my heart for the small locally owned and operated business.”

“These are the folks who are building the community in so many ways,” Teresi said.

Held the day after Black Friday, (Today!), Small Business Saturday is dedicated to supporting the millions of small businesses that create jobs and boost the economy.

So hopefully you didn’t spend all of your money on Black Friday shopping.
