JAMESTOWN – A fight between several people at the corner of 3rd and Pine Streets Tuesday afternoon was caught on video exclusively by WNYNewsNow Reporter Ryan Hedrick, who was assaulted by two juveniles.
Jamestown Police Sergeant Forster told WNYNewsNow the fight was between minors and adults.
It appears no one was taken into custody.
During the scuffle, which occurred just feet from our downtown studios, Hedrick’s phone was swatted out of his hand. Furthermore, Hedrick was spit on by an aggressor.
Around five Jamestown Police Officers responded to the incident. No injuries were reported.
Pine Street traffic was halted for around five minutes as police investigated. There is currently no explanation as to why the brawl broke out.
Hedrick did not press charges on the youth who grabbed his phone, as police stated they were minors.
Hedrick said he is disturbed by this incident, and is saddened by the boy’s behavior.
“It’s a shocking display of what happens when parents lose control of their children,” said Hedrick.
