Another Cold Day On Tap For Today, Wind Advisory For Gusty Winds Friday

JAMESTOWN – The winds have died down for today, with a few snow flakes in the air.
It does remain cold; with highs only in the mid 30s. We should be closer to 50 this time of the year, just for comparison.
Another front looks to push through the region on Friday, with the potential to create another round of gusty winds.
In responce to that, the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for much of Western New York, excluding Cattaraugus and Allegany, which will be going into effect at Noon tomorrow, and lasting through 11:00 PM Friday night.
The good news here is, the winds will not be AS strong as the were on Wednesday, but they will be breezy. West 20 to 30 MPH with gusts up to 50 MPH at times.
Along with gusty winds, another wave of snow showers will move through the region in the morning hours, finally turning to rains showers by the afternoon.
It is not out of the question that we could pick up an additional inch or so of snow accumulation for the morning commute.
Looking ahead, we remain refrigerated throughout the next 6 to 10 days. Right now, the best chance to see temperatures nearing the averages be during the 2nd leg of April…
