Another Mild And Sunny Day, Watching Friday Rain Potential Before A Cool Down

JAMESTOWN – High pressure continues to control our weather for today leading to another calm afternoon.

Not much change in the weather is expected for tomorrow. A few more clouds throughout day but will be another dry day.

A system currently near Dallas, Texas will organize and track through the Appalachians and have an impact on our weather on Friday.

A boundary will stall out across the region and bring waves of Low pressure to Western New York. Widespread rain showers are likely throughout the day with some pockets of moderate rain possible.

Behind this system, colder air will move in and change the rain over to snow Friday night and Saturday. The exact timing of this changeover still needs some find-tuning but this will be the best chance we have to get some accumulating snow that will stay for Christmas.

Cooler air will be here to stay for next week with limited snow showers almost each and every day through Tuesday.
