JAMESTOWN – We are done with the muggies for a little bit as we cool off and become much more tolerable in the comfort department.
Some heavy rain fell yesterday from thunderstorms that moved through the Southern Tier late Monday afternoon and evening. Some areas picked up over two inches of rainfall, which some flash flooding issues occurring in Allegany County.
The storms also caused some minor wind damage across the region. We did receive a report of tress down and minor damage to camping equipment at Darien Lake State Park.
Moderate humidity will make a return to Western New York during the weekend when we will see our next chance for shower and thunderstorm activity.
