Breezy Once Again Today, Temperatures Remain Chilly Through The Weekend

JAMESTOWN – The National Weather Service maintains the Wind Advisory for much of Western New York, until 11:00 PM tonight, for wind gusts upwards of 50 MPH.
While the winds will not be near the magnitude like they were on Wednesday, it will be enough to possibly bring down a few tree limbs that were weakened by Wednesday’s strong winds.
As we go throughout the afternoon, any snow showers that are around will change over to rain showers. However, there may still be a few wet snow flakes mixing in from time to time,
We remain the chances for some light snow showers on Saturday and Sunday, but little to no accumulation is expected.
The weekend won’t be a total loss, however. Any flakes that do fall will not last long. The majority of the weekend should be dry, but it just doesn’t warm up; the freezer is wide open!
Looking down the road, temperatures look to rebound by late next week, when we should make it to the upper 40s, nearing 50 possibly (the average for this time of the year IS 50, by the way).
As we’ve been talking about, we are still expecting temperatures to be closer to where we should be for the second half of April. We’ll just to wait and see.
