JAMESTOWN – A few isolated showers are possible over the next few days with some peaks of sunshine in between. The rain chances will increase as we go into next week with a storm system passing by.
As forecast, we had some showers and thunderstorms moving through last night. First Defense Doppler’s exclusive Rainfall Estimate algorithm suggests about a quarter of an inch to upwards of an inch of rain fell across the Southern Tier.
As we go into next week, a storm system that will take shape over the Ohio River Valley will be moving in the direction of Western New York. With this feature, we do expect the chances of rain to increase by the middle of next week.
We will also see below-average temperatures over the next seven days as well. We should be closer to 80, 81 degrees this time of the year, and we’ll be 5 to 10 degrees below normal.
