Couple More Scattered Showers Today, Sunshine Back Into The Mix Tomorrow

JAMESTOWN – It was a soggy start out there this morning, and that rain will continue in spotty nature throughout the afternoon hours today, before some nice sunshine will come back and greet us once again.
The rain wasn’t as heavy as we were expecting, as most areas in Chautauqua County picked up between a sixth hundredths of an inch to a quarter of an inch over the past 24 hours. There were also a few rumbles of thunder in the rain coverage at times last night. A couple scattered showers are still possible through the afternoon and evening hours.
A beautiful High pressure area currently centered over Wisconsin will be moving in our direction tomorrow, bringing us wonderful sunshine for our Wednesday, and that nice weather will take us right through the remainder of the workweek.
Memorial Day Weekend: The heat builds nicely and we should be in the lower 80s on Saturday. However, the humidity comes back as well, which will add that stickiness back in to the air. A few showers and thunderstorms will carry us through the weekend, into Memorial Day.
If you’re doing any BBQ on Monday, make sure you pay attention to the weather, and head indoors at the first rubble of thunder.
