Dry And Humid Thursday, Potential For Severe Storms Friday

JAMESTOWN – After a weak Warm front has moved through the region, the humidity has came up once again to muggy levels. We are keeping our eyes on the potential for some severe thunderstorms Friday.
For today, very quiet. The influx of High pressure to our North will keep us dry. If there will be any rain, it will be to our north near Buffalo.
A strong Cold front will approach the area tomorrow night with a line of showers and thunderstorms flaring out ahead of that front for the evening hours. The NOAA Storm Prediction Center maintains the standard Slight Risk (2/5) for severe thunderstorms for tomorrow evening.

Based on the newest data, the main timing window for the strongest storms will likely be 7 PM to 10 PM Friday night, with the potential for that line to produce gusty winds and some hail.

After the front’s passage, temps go down into the 60s for the weekend with some rain showers at times.
