Loads Of Sunshine; March Starts Mild But Wet

JAMESTOWN – A nice High pressure ridge over the Ohio Valley is bringing Western New York an abundance of sun, and milder temperatures.
Our next big weather maker comes on Thursday, with rain throughout the day, but another system crosses the region, dropping temps back into the 30s with some rain and snow showers for Friday.
We are still expecting a big pattern flip sometime in early March, with Winter making a drastic return.
As I often say, March is a “wild card” month in the Winter season, as it can bring some interesting weather to Western New York.
Computer model guidance continues to suggest such a flip will occur after the 6th of March. Just something to keep an eye on, as we head into the last “official” month of Winter…
