JAMESTOWN – We are continuing to monitor an upper-level Low that will ride along the East Coast this weekend and bring Western New York some rain and snow showers.
Today will be mainly dry but the cloud cover will remain. Do not expect much in the sunshine department.
Clouds will further increase tonight out ahead of that storm system. Rain will begin around Midnight and pick up in intensity as the night goes along.
While the majority of the area will see all rain, the newer model runs are favoring colder temps Saturday and Sunday morning to allow a change over to snow along the highest elevations of the Southern Tier.
Rain amounts will range between one and one and half inches, with snow accumulations between a half inch to one and a half inches.
Halloween Forecast: While temperatures will not be as chilly as they’ve been, there is the chance for a few rains showers Wednesday evening. Just keep that in mind you have plans to take the kids trick or treating or to any Halloween festivities Wednesday night.
