Spooky Drops For Halloween; Flood Watch For Potential Heavy Rain Wednesday


JAMESTOWN – Happy Halloween! While temps are back to about where they should be for today, it will be wet with on and off showers from time to time.

We do believe as we go throughout the evening, the rain will begin to taper off. Just bring an umbrella or a light poncho with the kids if you’re sending them out trick or treating tonight.

A series of Low pressure system will move through the region and increase the overall rain chances through the end of the week.
The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued an Areal Flood Watch for all of Western New York, going into effect at 5 PM Thursday and lasting through 5 PM Friday.

With the series of widespread rain expected over the next couple of days, rainfall totals could reach upwards of two inches, causing some minor flooding in low-lying areas and near the riverbanks.

Sunday and Monday both are looking like dry days with below average temps.
