Warming Up With Soaking Rain To End The Week

JAMESTOWN – A mostly cloudy afternoon is on tap for Western New York ahead of a breezy, mild and wet Friday.

A Wind Advisory is in effect for Chautauqua and Southern Erie Counties in NY and Erie County in PA until 7 AM Friday morning for wind gusts near 55 MPH. The strongest wind gusts will be found near the Lake Erie shoreline.

Low temperatures will occur early this evening and will begin to rise after Midnight. Rain starts to infiltrate the region this evening, becoming more widespread overnight.

By Friday morning, temps will range between the upper 40s in the valleys to the lower 50s near the Lake Erie shore. Temps will continue to climb through the 50s throughout the day as the rain becomes more intermittent in the afternoon.

As cooler air is pulled back in behind this front, temps will go back into the 30s for Saturday with a chance for some snow showers.
